What is Scleroderma?
Scleroderma tightens things — skin that used to pinch easily now feels bound down, fingers that go white and painful in the cold, sometimes trouble swallowing or catching your breath if it reaches the lungs. It's your immune system driving excess scar-like tissue formation, and it can be genuinely frightening watching your own skin and joints change shape over months. The Raynaud's phenomenon alone can be relentless.
How regenerative medicine supports it
We work closely with your rheumatologist, since organ involvement — particularly lungs, heart and kidneys — needs specialist screening we don't replace. MSC and exosome therapy are used with the goal of supporting tissue and circulation, alongside monitoring of skin scoring, pulmonary function and Raynaud's frequency. If there's any sign of pulmonary hypertension or renal crisis, that needs urgent specialist care ahead of anything elective here.

Can this soften skin that's already hardened?
Some patients notice improved skin pliability, but established fibrosis doesn't fully reverse, and we're honest that long-standing tightness may only partially respond.
Will this help my Raynaud's attacks?
It's one of the things we track most closely, and some patients report fewer or milder episodes, though cold-weather precautions and any prescribed vasodilators still matter.
Have you checked whether this is safe for my lungs?
We ask for recent pulmonary function tests and echo results before treating, because lung and heart involvement change what's appropriate and how carefully we need to proceed.
Can this replace my immunosuppressant?
No — please continue what your rheumatologist has prescribed; we see our role as supportive alongside that, not a substitute for it.
How do you measure whether it's working?
Modified Rodnan skin scores, Raynaud's diaries and organ function tests at intervals, compared against your starting point.
