Regenerative Therapy
HBOT (Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy)
Breathing oxygen under pressure so it reaches tissue circulation cannot.

What is HBOT (Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy)?
In a hyperbaric chamber you breathe high-concentration oxygen while ambient pressure is raised above normal. At surface pressure, oxygen travels almost entirely on haemoglobin, which is already close to saturated; under pressure it dissolves directly into plasma and can reach tissue that compromised circulation would otherwise leave underserved. Sessions run sixty to ninety minutes and are prescribed as a course, because the tissue effects accumulate rather than arrive in a single visit.

Key benefits
- 01Substantially raises oxygen dissolved in plasma, independent of haemoglobin
- 02Supports wound healing and recovery in poorly perfused tissue
- 03Frequently scheduled alongside regenerative protocols
- 04Gradual compression and decompression with staff supervision throughout
- 05Ear equalisation coached before your first session
How it works
The sequence, from first records to follow-up
- 01
Medical screening
Ear function, lung history and any untreated pneumothorax risk are checked first. This is a pressurised environment, and screening is the step that keeps it safe.
- 02
Equalisation coaching
You are taught how to clear your ears before your first session. Nearly all discomfort in hyperbaric therapy comes from an ear that was not cleared during descent.
- 03
Compression
Chamber pressure is raised gradually over ten to fifteen minutes to the prescribed depth, slowly enough for you to keep pace with equalising.
- 04
Oxygen period
You breathe high-concentration oxygen at pressure for sixty to ninety minutes, dissolving far more oxygen into plasma than breathing at surface pressure allows.
- 05
Decompression
Pressure is returned to normal gradually. Sessions are then repeated across a course, since the tissue effects accumulate rather than arrive in one visit.
What to expect
Before

Avoid alcohol beforehand and tell us about any cold or blocked sinus — we will postpone rather than pressurise a congested ear. Cotton clothing only inside the chamber.
During

Fullness in the ears during descent, similar to a plane landing. Once at depth it is quiet and warm; most patients read, listen or sleep.
After

Mild tiredness or transient light-headedness immediately after is common. Some patients notice a temporary change in near vision over a long course, which reverses after treatment ends.

HBOT (Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy) — Questions Patients Ask
What does pressure add over just breathing oxygen?
At normal pressure, oxygen is carried almost entirely by haemoglobin, which is already close to saturated. Under pressure, oxygen dissolves directly into plasma and reaches tissue that poor circulation would otherwise leave underserved.
How many sessions are needed?
Courses are usually between ten and forty sessions depending on the indication. A handful of sessions is unlikely to produce a durable effect, and we say so before you commit.

Who should not have HBOT?
Anyone with an untreated collapsed lung, certain chemotherapy agents on board, or ear conditions preventing equalisation. Uncontrolled seizure disorders also require specialist clearance first.
Can I bring my phone in?
No. Electronic devices and anything battery-powered stay outside for fire safety in an oxygen-enriched environment. The chamber has its own entertainment.
