Regenerative Therapy
CAR-NK Therapy
Natural killer cells engineered with a receptor that recognises a defined target.

What is CAR-NK Therapy?
CAR-NK therapy takes natural killer cells and equips them with a chimeric antigen receptor — a guidance system that helps them recognise a specific marker on abnormal cells. Because natural killer cells act without the tissue-matching requirements of T cells, the preparation can be built from a screened donor source rather than harvested from a patient whose own counts may already be low. It is a specialised, slow-to-prepare therapy, and every enquiry starts with a records review rather than a booking.

Key benefits
- 01Receptor-guided targeting of a confirmed cell surface marker
- 02Donor-derived source avoids depending on your own depleted immune reserve
- 03Lower reported rate of severe cytokine reactions than engineered T-cell approaches
- 04Full transduction, viability and sterility documentation per batch
- 05Delivered in coordination with your existing oncology team
How it works
The sequence, from first records to follow-up
- 01
Diagnosis review
We start with your pathology reports and current oncology plan. CAR-NK is a supportive, carefully selected option, and we will not begin engineering cells before that review is complete.
- 02
Target confirmation
The receptor is only useful if the marker it recognises is actually present on your cells. Where testing has not confirmed the target, we arrange it before anything else proceeds.
- 03
Cell sourcing
Natural killer cells are collected from a screened donor source rather than drawn from you, which avoids the delay of harvesting from a patient whose counts are already low.
- 04
Receptor engineering
The chimeric receptor is introduced in our laboratory and the modified cells are expanded over roughly two weeks, with viability and transduction efficiency logged at each passage.
- 05
Release and infusion
Sterility, endotoxin and potency checks precede release. Infusion is given slowly under observation, with vital signs recorded at fixed intervals for several hours afterwards.
- 06
Monitoring window
You stay under review for the following days rather than flying out immediately. Immune-related reactions, when they occur, occur early.
What to expect
Before

Expect a longer lead time than any other therapy we offer — engineering and expansion cannot be rushed. Your oncologist is copied into the plan before we schedule.
During

The infusion itself is undramatic: a slow drip with frequent observations. The clinical attention is in the hours afterwards, not the bag.
After

Low-grade fever and fatigue in the first forty-eight hours are the most commonly reported effects. You remain contactable and reviewed daily during that window.

CAR-NK Therapy — Questions Patients Ask
How is CAR-NK different from CAR-T?
Both use an engineered receptor, but CAR-NK uses natural killer cells rather than T cells. Natural killer cells do not require tissue matching in the same way, which is why donor-derived preparations are practical, and the severe cytokine reactions associated with CAR-T are reported far less often.
Does this replace my cancer treatment?
No, and we would decline any patient who understood it that way. It is discussed as an adjunct alongside oncology care, never instead of it.

Why does it take weeks to prepare?
Receptor introduction and expansion to a therapeutic dose take time in culture, and each stage carries its own quality checks. Compressing the schedule would mean skipping those checks.
Am I likely to be eligible?
Most enquiries are not. Eligibility depends on your diagnosis, confirmed target expression, organ function and current treatment stage. We give that answer after reading records, not during a quick call.
