Eczema

Calming reactive, itchy skin from the immune side and the barrier side.

Care for eczema at Bangkok Stem Cell Center

What is Eczema?

It's the itch that wears you down more than anything — waking at 2am scratching, or catching yourself doing it mid-conversation without noticing. Eczema is a compromised skin barrier and an over-reactive immune response feeding each other, so flares and partial recovery keep cycling. Bangkok's heat and constant air-conditioning swings tend to make it worse rather than better.

How regenerative medicine supports it

We look at the immune side and the barrier side together, using MSC therapy and exosome-based support alongside nutritional correction where testing points to a gap. We don't recommend stopping topical steroids abruptly, since that reliably triggers a rebound flare — any taper happens gradually with your dermatologist involved. Expect barrier improvement within weeks and immune-side change over two to three months, with occasional flares along the way being normal rather than failure.

If the evidence for treating eczema this way is thin, we will tell you before you book — and the review is not billed.

Eczema — Questions Patients Ask

Should I stop my steroid cream straight away?

No — stopping abruptly usually causes a rebound flare. We taper gradually alongside your dermatologist while the underlying immune work runs in parallel.

Will you test me for food allergies?

Where your history genuinely suggests it, yes, but we don't rely on broad untargeted intolerance panels since they're unreliable and we won't base treatment on them.

Is Bangkok's climate really making this worse?

For many patients, yes — heat, humidity and repeated air conditioning transitions provoke the barrier. Practical adjustments to that are part of the plan, not an afterthought.

How fast will my skin actually settle?

Barrier-focused support tends to show within a few weeks, while immune-side change takes closer to two or three months. We check in against that timeline rather than expecting instant results.

My child has eczema too — can you see them here?

Paediatric eczema needs paediatric dermatology input rather than an adult regenerative clinic, and we'd say so directly rather than take them on.
