Renal Failure

Advanced kidney failure belongs with nephrology; we don't treat it here.

Care for renal failure at Bangkok Stem Cell Center

What is Renal Failure?

Renal failure, whether acute or the end stage of chronic kidney disease, means the kidneys can no longer adequately filter waste and fluid from the blood. It's a medical emergency in its acute form and, in its chronic advanced form, usually means dialysis or transplant assessment is already underway or imminent. This is one of the more serious diagnoses we come across, and we treat it with the caution it deserves.

How regenerative medicine supports it

We're direct about this: renal failure, acute or advanced chronic, requires nephrology-led care, dialysis planning or transplant workup, none of which we provide. If you're referred to us, it's typically for narrow, general wellbeing support once your nephrology team confirms it's appropriate, never as a substitute for dialysis or specialist management. We decline to treat active or advanced renal failure outside that framework.

Renal Failure — Questions Patients Ask

Can you help me avoid dialysis?

No, if your nephrologist has determined dialysis is needed, that decision needs to stand; we don't offer any therapy capable of replacing that function.

Will you treat me while I'm on dialysis?

Only in a very limited, supportive capacity, and only with your nephrology team's knowledge and agreement about what's safe given your fluid and electrolyte status.

I've just been diagnosed with acute kidney failure, can I come to you instead of hospital?

No — acute renal failure needs immediate hospital-based nephrology care, and we would direct you there rather than accept you as a patient here.

What if I'm waiting for a kidney transplant?

We can potentially offer very limited general wellbeing support alongside your transplant team, but the transplant process itself and your medical management stay entirely with them.

Why won't you treat this condition more actively?

Because renal failure carries risks that need hospital-level monitoring and intervention we're not equipped for, and pretending otherwise wouldn't be responsible.

A medical team member reads your history before anything is quoted or scheduled. If cellular therapy is unlikely to move your numbers, we say so and point you somewhere more useful.
